Happy Lunar New Year for 2024!

Lunar New Year is a joyous and culturally significant celebration observed by many Asian communities around the world. The festival marks the beginning of the lunar calendar and typically falls between late January and mid-February. During this time, families gather for delicious feasts and wish each other health and good fortune. It’s also a time to pay respects to ancestors, express gratitude, and hope for happiness and prosperity in the months ahead.

Across Asia, Lunar New Year showcases the beauty of cultural diversity through different customs and traditions, while also fostering a sense of shared identity and renewal.

Fun & Learning @ BDS

Meet Room 8: We have had an amazing start to school getting to know each other.

We love our weekly swimming lessons: learning to get into the pool safely, putting our head under the water, and floating. We are so lucky to have two swimming instructors at our school.

Room 16 is sliding into Year 4 with smiles from ear to ear because they get to use the Senior playground!

Children Turning Five – Enrolment

If your child is turning five in the next six (6) months please ensure you enrol them as soon as possible. Our roll is steadily growing and we need to plan for classes and teachers during the year.

Please collect your enrolment pack from the office, or email office@botanydowns.school.nz
